Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager with 12–15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) and a solid background in the Freight Forwarding / Shipping industry. The role will provide comprehensive legal support across commercial contracts, claims, litigation, compliance, risk management, and business operations, while partnering with regional business teams to provide practical and commercially sound legal solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Draft, review, negotiate, and provide legal support for customer agreements, supplier agreements, commercial contracts, and other business documents.
• Partner with business teams and regional stakeholders to negotiate contractual terms in line with company and group policies.
• Identify, assess, and proactively manage legal and commercial risks, providing practical mitigation advice.
• Drive legal and risk awareness across business units and senior management.
• Provide legal support to Compliance, Data Protection, Internal Controls, Finance, Operations, IT, and other functions.
• Support development, implementation,



and monitoring of internal governance policies and compliance requirements.
• Manage claims, contentious disputes, litigation, arbitration, and insurance-related matters.
• Coordinate with external advocates, legal counsel, insurance companies, and other external stakeholders.
• Monitor changes in laws and regulations and assess their impact on business operations.
• Provide advice on labour, operations, licensing, IT, finance, international trade, and other legal matters.
• Support new business models, projects, strategic initiatives, and business growth from a legal and risk perspective.
• Support other Legal Counsel and regional legal activities as required.

Mandatory Requirements
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Law.
• Experience: 12–15 years
• Mandatory experience in Freight Forwarding / Shipping; international trade, supply chain, or related logistics legal experience preferred.
