Role Overview
The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis, and validation of satellite mechanical hardware.



This role involves developing flight-ready components and structures, performing structural analysis, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and manufacturable spacecraft systems.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop 3D CAD models of satellite structures, mechanisms, and mechanical subsystems using SolidWorks or CATIA.
• Create detailed 2D engineering drawings following mechanical drafting and GD&T; standards
• Perform structural simulations (static, modal, vibration, and thermal) using ANSYS or equivalent FEA tools
• Interpret analysis results and implement design improvements to meet mission and structural requirements
• Work closely with manufacturing, integration, and test teams to optimize designs for fabrication, assembly, and verification
• Document design iterations, analysis reports, and engineering reviews throughout the development lifecycle
