Your Role
In this role, you will be part of a highly experienced Demurrage and Claims team. This position will report to the Head of Demurrage & Voyage claims. As Voyage Claims Analyst Assistant, you will have ample scope for dealing with cross-functional teams spread globally.
You will be an integral part of a commercial team, and you will have close coordination with the Operations and Chartering departments.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage, negotiate, and settle demurrage, deviation, detention, and other voyage-related claims in accordance with charter party and contractual obligations.
• Analyze charter parties, voyage instructions, and supporting documentation to assess claim entitlement, maximize recoveries, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and time bars.
• Partner with Chartering, Operations, vessels, agents, and counterparties to secure supporting evidence, drive claim resolution, and facilitate timely recovery of receivables.
• Provide commercial insight through charter party analysis, clause intelligence, and lessons learned to support risk management and future contract negotiations.
