Saraswathi Narayanan College, established in July 1966, is a post-graduate college affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University. Sponsored by the Narayanan Chettiar Trust, the college was founded to promote education and assist those in need. Situated near the scenic Madurai airport, the campus provides an ideal learning environment. The college offers undergraduate, postgraduate, M.Phil., and Ph.D. programs across various disciplines and became an autonomous institution in 2007. It also includes a modern library and a research center to support advanced academic pursuits.

Role Description

This is a full-time in office role in Madurai for an Assistant Professor. Responsibilities include delivering lectures, preparing and revising course content, evaluating student performance through assessments, and mentoring students in their academic and professional development. The Assistant Professor will also be expected to contribute to research activities, attend faculty meetings,



and participate in departmental and institutional projects and efforts.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in the relevant academic discipline with teaching and research capabilities.
• Proven skills in developing and delivering engaging educational content and materials.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication; ability to mentor and guide students effectively.
• Research experience and publication records in peer-reviewed journals or academic conferences.
• Time management and organizational skills to balance teaching, research, and administrative responsibilities.
• Minimum qualification: Master’s degree in the relevant discipline; Ph.D. preferred.
• Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is advantageous.
• Proficiency in using modern educational technology and tools for teaching and research is desirable.
