Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site role based in Mangaluru, responsible for overseeing all aspects of the volunteer program. Day-to-day tasks include recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers to support various initiatives and events. The role involves organizing and delivering volunteer training, maintaining accurate volunteer records, and ensuring volunteers have the resources and guidance needed to perform their roles effectively. The coordinator will foster strong relationships with volunteers, collaborate with internal teams, and support community outreach activities to increase engagement. This position also monitors program effectiveness, gathers feedback, and helps improve volunteer experiences and operational processes.
Qualifications
• Strong volunteer management and volunteer training skills to effectively recruit, orient, and support volunteers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust,



motivate volunteers, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience with community outreach, including organizing events and engaging diverse community groups.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple activities, with solid organizational and time management skills.
• Comfort using basic office software and volunteer databases or tracking tools.
• Prior experience coordinating volunteers or working in nonprofit, social service, or community-based settings is preferred.
• Relevant post-secondary education in social work, community development, communications, or a related field is an advantage.
• Commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory practices and a focus on creating welcoming environments for all volunteers.
