- Responsible for supervision of laboratory quality control, validate tests, and interpret complex results to provide definitive reports for clinical teams
- Analyze biopsies, surgical specimens, and smears to identify diseases.
- Validate laboratory tests and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
- Should manage laboratory operations, ensure quality control, interpret complex tests, and advise clinicians on patient care, often specializing in either anatomic or clinical pathology
- Will be the final signing authority for issuing a report
