We are looking for an accountant who can organise our historical transactions, maintain accurate ongoing books and prepare transparent monthly financial reports.
We already work with a Chartered Accountant. You will coordinate with our team and existing CA to ensure that complete, reconciled accounting information is available on time.
Role Overview
You will take ownership of week-to-week bookkeeping, historical accounting cleanup, sales and payment reconciliation, expense tracking, inventory accounting and monthly reporting.
This role requires more than entering bills into accounting software. You should be able to investigate differences, follow up for missing documents and explain the numbers clearly to the business owner.

- Track discounts, cancellations, refunds, returns and failed transactions.
- Reconcile payment-gateway settlements and COD remittances with bank receipts.
- Identify pending settlements, short payments, deductions and unexplained differences.
- Reconcile shipping-partner invoices, forward shipping charges, RTO charges and other logistics fees.
- Coordinate with internal teams and service providers to resolve discrepancies.
4. Inventory and Product Cost Accounting
- Maintain and reconcile stock purchases, sales, returns and stock adjustments using available records.
- Track product-wise purchase costs and changes in costs over time.
- Calculate cost of goods sold and closing inventory using the method agreed with our CA.
- Account for returned goods based on their condition and whether they are received back into inventory.
- Track damaged, lost or unsellable stock separately.
- Coordinate periodic physical-stock checks with the operations team.
5. Monthly Financial and Business Reporting
- Prepare reports covering:
- Monthly profit and loss.
- Balance sheet and supporting schedules for CA review.
