Job Description – Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end accounting, bookkeeping, ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations for multiple clients.

- Prepare financial statements, balance sheets, profit and loss accounts and trial balances.

- Handle Income Tax Returns, tax computations, advance tax and tax planning.

- Manage GST compliance, including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, ITC reconciliation and GST returns.

- Handle TDS calculations, payments, quarterly returns and Form 16/16A.

- Assist in statutory audits, tax audits, assessments and departmental notices.

- Ensure timely statutory compliance and maintain accurate financial records.

- Manage client portfolios, coordinate documentation and resolve accounting and taxation queries.

- Supervise junior accountants,



review their work and ensure timely completion of assignments.

Qualifications & Skills

- B.Com mandatory; M.Com or CA Inter preferred.

- 5–8 years of experience in a CA firm or tax consultancy.

- Strong knowledge of Income Tax, GST, TDS and accounting principles.

- Proficiency in Tally Prime, MS Excel and accounting software.

- Excellent analytical, communication, client-handling and team management skills.

- Ability to independently manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
