Role Description The Sushi Chef is a full-time, on-site role based in Hyderabad at Kairo Sushi’s mall locations. The role involves preparing a variety of sushi items, including nigiri, maki, sashimi, and specialty rolls, while maintaining consistent quality and presentation. Daily responsibilities include selecting and handling seafood, cooking rice and other components, organizing mise en place, and ensuring all dishes are prepared according to restaurant standards. The Sushi Chef will maintain strict hygiene and food safety practices, support inventory management,



and collaborate with the kitchen and service teams to ensure timely service. The role also requires engaging with guests when needed, responding to special requests, and contributing to menu improvements.
Qualifications

• Strong food preparation and general cooking skills, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Hands-on experience with seafood selection, handling, and storage, particularly for sushi and sashimi.
• Solid culinary skills, including knife work, portioning, and plating with attention to detail and consistency.
• Commitment to strict hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards in all kitchen activities.
• Prior experience as a Sushi Chef or in Japanese cuisine is highly preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and standards while managing multiple orders and maintaining quality.
