Ledvore is hiring a Steel Detailer to support fabrication, machinery and construction steelwork projects for our clients in Ireland and Europe. You’ll turn engineering designs into fabrication-ready drawings for welders and the workshop floor — from machine frames and automation equipment to structural and access steel.

? Full-time, permanent
? Experience: 5–10 years in steel/fabrication detailing
What you’ll do:
• Produce fabrication and workshop drawings for welded steel assemblies — machine bases and frames, automation equipment, platforms, guarding, access steel and construction steelwork
• Model in 3D and create assembly, single-part and weldment drawings
• Generate cut lists, bills of material, weld details and NC/CNC files for the workshop
• Work from engineering designs, GAs and mark-ups, and apply the right weld, bolt and connection details
• Detail to European standards — Eurocode,
EN 1090 and BS (AISC a plus for US-bound work)
• Check your own drawings and work through revisions with the design lead, fabricators and welders
What we’re looking for:
• Diploma/degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering, or a draughting qualification
• 3–6 years’ hands-on steel or fabrication detailing experience
• Proficiency in SolidWorks for machine fabrications
• Strong understanding of welded fabrication, weld symbols, bolts and connections
• Able to read engineering and GA drawings accurately and detail for the shop floor
• Good English, as you’ll work on drawings and correspondence for overseas clients
Nice to have: experience detailing machinery/automation equipment, conveyor or platform steel, or EN 1090-certified fabrication work.
