JOB SUMMARY

TPOTS is looking for a skilled and experienced WordPress Developer to develop, customize, optimize, and maintain high-performance WordPress websites. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP, WordPress architecture, custom theme and plugin development, API integrations, and website performance optimization.

The candidate should be capable of working independently, writing clean and secure code, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with designers and other team members to deliver high-quality web solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites using custom themes and plugins.
- Build and extend WordPress functionality using PHP 8+, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), hooks, filters, and WordPress APIs.
- Develop and manage Custom Post Types (CPTs), taxonomies, custom fields, metadata, and dynamic website components.
- Work with WooCommerce for e-commerce functionality, customization, and integrations.
- Integrate third-party systems and APIs, including Salesforce, using REST APIs, webhooks, and middleware where required.
- Optimize website speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, accessibility, and overall performance.
- Work with MySQL databases, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity.
- Implement website security best practices, error handling, and clean coding standards.
- Use Git for version control, branching, collaboration, and code reviews.
- Manage deployment workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and production releases.
- Perform debugging, testing, and maintenance to ensure website reliability.
- Collaborate with designers, project managers, and developers in an Agile environment.
- Document code, follow development standards, and participate in technical reviews.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS





- 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in WordPress development.
- Strong proficiency in PHP 8+, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and MySQL.
- Excellent knowledge of WordPress core, themes, plugins, hooks, filters, and template hierarchy.
- Experience developing custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch.
- Robust understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and third-party integrations.
- Working knowledge of WooCommerce, Custom Post Types, taxonomies, custom fields, and metadata.
- Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive web development.
- Experience with Git, code reviews, and collaborative development workflows.
- Understanding of website security, performance optimization, Core Web Vitals, and SEO fundamentals.
- Knowledge of deployment processes, CI/CD, Composer, and automated testing.
- Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience integrating Salesforce with WordPress.
- Experience with WordPress Multisite and enterprise-level websites.
- Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Knowledge of CDN, HTTP, caching, and website infrastructure.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
- Familiarity with staging environments, production deployments, and rollback procedures.
