We are looking for a hands-on WordPress professional to support the development, enhancement, maintenance, security, performance, and operation of corporate websites and digital properties.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced WordPress Developer who can independently develop, customize, maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and optimize WordPress websites.

The successful candidate will own WordPress implementation activities covering themes, templates, plugins, page builders, integrations, staging and production environments, performance, security, upgrades, backups, and technical SEO support.

This is a development and website-operations role. Candidates whose experience is limited to uploading content, installing preconfigured themes, or making basic page-builder edits may not be suitable.

Key Responsibilities

WordPress Development

- Develop and customize WordPress themes, child themes, templates, and reusable components.
- Build responsive service pages, landing pages, campaign pages, and lead-generation forms.
- Configure, customize, test, and troubleshoot WordPress plugins.
- Use Elementor, Gutenberg, or comparable tools where appropriate.
- Implement custom functionality using PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, MySQL, and WordPress APIs.
- Integrate WordPress with CRM, forms, analytics, marketing automation, and third-party platforms.
- Troubleshoot theme, plugin, database, JavaScript, and compatibility problems.
- Support website migrations and environment changes.

Website Administration and Operations

- Maintain development, staging, testing, and production environments.
- Perform WordPress core, theme, and plugin updates.
- Monitor website uptime, functionality, and performance.
- Manage website backups and restoration procedures.
- Support hosting, domain, DNS, and SSL-related activities.
- Document recurring website-maintenance and release processes.




- Coordinate deployments and post-release checks.

Website Security

- Apply WordPress security and access-control practices.
- Monitor and address plugin or theme vulnerabilities.
- Maintain controlled administrator access.
- Support malware review, incident investigation, recovery, and remediation.
- Keep WordPress core, plugins, and themes appropriately updated.
- Maintain backup and restoration readiness.

Performance Optimization

- Improve page speed and Core Web Vitals.
- Optimize images, caching, scripts, stylesheets, fonts, database queries, and plugin usage.
- Identify plugin conflicts and performance bottlenecks.
- Validate performance after deployments and major updates.

Technical SEO and Analytics Support

- Implement approved schema and structured data.
- Support metadata, redirects, canonical tags, sitemap, robots, crawlability, and indexing requirements.
- Implement and validate GA4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, Meta Pixel, and LinkedIn Insight Tag.
- Build and test lead-capture forms and conversion events.
- Support SEO and marketing teams with technical updates.

Governance and Documentation

- Maintain theme, plugin, license, integration, and environment documentation.
- Follow change-management and backup procedures.
- Maintain an inventory of website technologies and dependencies.
- Document deployment, rollback, recovery, and maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications

- At least 4 years of hands-on WordPress development experience.
- Strong experience customizing WordPress themes and templates.
- Experience with Elementor, Gutenberg, or comparable WordPress development tools.
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting, and managing plugins.
- Working knowledge of PHP and MySQL.
- Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and responsive-design skills.
- Experience managing staging and production environments.
- Experience with WordPress performance optimization.
- Understanding of website security, backups, migrations, and recovery.
- Experience supporting technical SEO and analytics implementation.
- Portfolio containing WordPress websites personally developed or significantly enhanced.
- Ability to explain personal ownership for submitted projects.

Compensation

Compensation will be determined based on WordPress experience, PHP and MySQL capability, theme and plugin development experience, website-operations knowledge, technical SEO exposure, portfolio quality, and overall role alignment.
