US WEALTH MANAGEMENT ADVISOR
American HNW Families | Private Wealth Analysis & Advisory
We are seeking an experienced US Wealth Management Advisor with demonstrable expertise in wealth analysis, financial modelling, US taxation, and wealth management advisory support for American High-Net-Worth (HNW) families and their ventures.
This role focuses on the financial affairs of affluent American families, encompassing personal balance sheets, cash flows, investments, trusts, legal entities, taxation, insurance, estate planning, and intergenerational wealth transfer.
Occasional assignments involve family-owned or closely held businesses, particularly where liquidity events, acquisitions, divestitures, or succession decisions have implications for family wealth.
You will translate validated financial information into rigorous analysis, sophisticated financial models, research-backed recommendations, and client-ready advisory materials.
*Mandatory: Direct US Wealth Management Analysis and Advisory experience serving American HNW/UHNW clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Private Wealth Analysis & Financial Modelling
- Review and validate financial data relating to personal balance sheets, cash flows, investments, tax records, and financial planning systems.
- Independently develop, troubleshoot, and validate sophisticated financial models.
- Compare proposed wealth strategies against the status quo, stress-test assumptions, quantify outcomes, and document risks.
- Analyse family assets, liabilities, income, expenditure, investments, and interconnected financial structures.
2. Wealth Planning & Scenario Analysis
- Build multi-scenario models covering family cash flows, investment strategies, insurance, estate planning, and wealth transfer.
- Assess liquidity events, business exits, acquisitions, divestitures, and buy-side versus sell-side alternatives where relevant.
- Evaluate trusts, ownership structures, succession arrangements, and their financial implications.
- Support the development of evidence-based wealth management recommendations for American HNW/UHNW families.
3. US Tax Research & Technical Advisory
- Research complex US taxation, estate planning, wealth structuring, and financial planning matters.
- Review US personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns, where applicable.
- Identify tax exposures, planning opportunities, technical issues, and financial risks.
- Prepare clear, well-supported research memoranda with documented assumptions and reliable source citations.
4. AI-Enabled Research & Modelling
- Apply AI tools to financial research, modelling support, analysis, and document preparation.
- Verify AI-generated outputs against source documents, tax rules, calculations, and authoritative research.
- Maintain full accountability for the accuracy and quality of all final deliverables.
5. Advisory Materials & Relationship Manager Collaboration
- Prepare client-ready presentations, financial analyses, research memoranda, and recommendation materials in collaboration with the Relationship Manager.
- Participate in kick-off and working meetings to understand family objectives, financial circumstances, and advisory priorities.
- Help establish document request lists and identify information gaps.
- Maintain an organised research library and delegate routine, templated, or data-entry work to associates.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 5 to 8 years of relevant qualified experience.
- Mandatory hands-on experience in US Wealth Management Analysis and Advisory for American HNW/UHNW individuals and families.
- Strong expertise in financial modelling, cash-flow analysis, scenario planning, and wealth advisory support.
- Sound knowledge of US taxation and its implications for personal wealth,
investments, trusts, and estate planning.
- Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Managerial Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to independently build, troubleshoot, validate, and document financial models.
- Strong technical research, analytical reasoning, and professional writing skills.
- Experience using AI-assisted research and modelling tools, with rigorous output verification.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Progress towards CFA or CFP certification, or CPA exam eligibility.
- Experience reviewing US personal, partnership, and corporate tax returns.
- Familiarity with eMoney, WealthTec, MoneyGuide, or comparable financial planning software.
- Experience modelling liquidity events, complex family cash flows, business transactions, or succession scenarios.
- Familiarity with CCH, Bloomberg Tax, or comparable tax research platforms.
IDEAL CANDIDATE You are a technically strong wealth management professional with direct experience advising or supporting advisory engagements for American HNW/UHNW families. You combine financial modelling expertise, US tax research capability, analytical precision, and sound wealth planning judgement.
You are comfortable working independently, challenging assumptions, investigating discrepancies, and producing accurate, thoroughly documented analysis that supports informed financial decisions.
This is a specialised US private wealth advisory role, not a corporate FP&A;, general accounting, or bank operations position.
APPLICATION PROCESS
Submit your updated CV highlighting your direct US wealth management advisory experience, American HNW/UHNW client exposure, financial modelling expertise, US tax knowledge, and familiarity with wealth planning platforms.
