Job Title: Team Member- Procurement

Reporting To: Project & Plant Head

Job Purpose:

To support the procurement function by ensuring timely, cost-effective, and quality-driven sourcing of materials, equipment, and services required for operations and projects, in compliance with company policies and procedures..

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

· Execute procurement activities for raw materials, consumables, spares, equipment, and services as per approved requisitions.

· Identify, evaluate, and develop vendors in line with quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

· Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and support finalization of purchase orders.

· Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with commercial and technical terms.

· Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Production, Stores, Finance, Projects) for material planning and delivery schedules.

· Track PO status, follow up with suppliers, and ensure on-time delivery of materials.

· Maintain procurement records, vendor master data, and documentation as per audit requirements.

· Support negotiation with suppliers to achieve cost optimization and favorable commercial terms.

· Ensure adherence to statutory, contractual, and company procurement policies.

· Assist in resolving supplier-related issues such as quality deviations, delivery delays, and invoice discrepancies.

· Timely procurement as per production/project schedules

· Cost savings and value optimization

· Accuracy and completeness of procurement documentation

Qualifications

· Education: Diploma/ Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Supply Chain / Materials Management

· Professional certification in Procurement / SCM will be an added advantage

Certifications/ Trainings

· ERP/SAP Procurement Management Module

Experience:

· Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in procurement, preferably in manufacturing, EPC, or project-based organizations

Skills & Competencies:

Skills:

· Understanding of procurement processes, vendor management, and contract basics

· Knowledge of inventory control and material planning

· Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP/MM or equivalent)

· Strong analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills

· Proficiency in MS Excel and documentation

Working Conditions:

- Location: This role is based at our manufacturing facility located near Rajkot.

- Work Environment: The position operates primarily within a plant environment, which may involve exposure to noise, machinery, and varying temperatures.

- Work Schedule: Standard working hours with occasional requirements for extended hours based on operational needs. Shift-based work may be applicable depending on the role and department.

- Travel Requirements: Minimal travel is expected; however, occasional visits to vendors, training centers, or other company locations may be required.

- Safety Gear: Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as helmets, safety shoes, and ear protection is mandatory in designated areas.
