Level 3 DSP Engineer - Platforming

Experience: 3-8+ years
General Description
We are seeking DSP Engineers to provide hands-on implementation, porting, integration, optimization, and
validation capacity for DSP algorithms across embedded audio platforms. These engineers will work with
senior DSP engineers and algorithm developers to convert reference implementations into robust production
software.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and port DSP algorithms into production C/C++.
Translate MATLAB/Simulink reference implementations into embedded software.
Integrate DSP components into existing software frameworks and platform code.
Develop unit tests and execute algorithm validation using provided test vectors.
Compare embedded implementation results against reference models and expected performance.
Debug numerical, integration, and performance issues.
Support fixed-point and floating-point implementations.
Profile CPU and memory utilization and support performance optimization.
Optimize implementations for embedded DSP targets under direction from senior engineers.
Participate in code reviews and follow established coding and testing practices.
Document implementation details, test results, and identified technical gaps.
Work effectively with distributed engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
3-8+ years of relevant DSP, embedded software, or related development experience.
Working knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals.
Working proficiency in MATLAB; Simulink experience preferred.
Solid C/C++ programming skills.

Experience developing or debugging embedded software.




Understanding of fixed-point and floating-point arithmetic.
Experience with software testing, debugging, and version-control workflows.
Ability to work effectively with technical direction from senior engineers.

Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications
Audio DSP experience.
Experience with Tensilica HiFi, ARM, or other embedded DSP architectures.
SIMD/vector optimization experience.
Embedded Coder experience.
Python scripting and test automation.
ML implementation experience.
Experience with AI-assisted development tools to prototype and validate.

Level 4 Senior DSP Engineer - Platforming
Experience: 8-15+ years

General Description
We are seeking experienced Senior DSP Engineers to independently develop, port, optimize, integrate, and
validate DSP algorithms across embedded platforms and audio products. These engineers will own substantial
DSP components or workstreams and take implementations from algorithm reference models through
production deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, port, and validate DSP algorithms for embedded audio applications.
Translate MATLAB/Simulink or other reference implementations into production-quality C/C++.
Independently own DSP components from implementation through integration and validation.




Integrate DSP algorithms into embedded frameworks and product platforms.
Apply fixed-point and floating-point techniques based on target hardware constraints.

Profile and optimize CPU, memory, latency, and real-time performance.
Optimize implementations for DSP cores and vector architectures.
Develop unit tests, test vectors, and automated validation.
Debug algorithm and system-level integration issues.
Perform code reviews and contribute to implementation and testing standards.
Collaborate with algorithm, systems, firmware, QA, and hardware teams.
Provide technical guidance to Level 3 engineers as needed.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field;
Master's preferred.

8-15+ years of relevant DSP or embedded software experience.
Strong DSP fundamentals and practical embedded implementation experience.
Strong MATLAB/Simulink skills.
Strong C/C++ programming skills.
Experience implementing fixed-point and floating-point DSP algorithms.
Experience developing software for embedded or real-time systems.
Demonstrated ability to independently take DSP implementations through integration and validation.
Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

Preferred / Advantageous Qualifications
Audio DSP experience.
Tensilica HiFi or similar DSP architecture experience.
ARM Neon/Helium, RISC-V vector, or x64 SIMD optimization.
