About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Network & Systems Administrator to join our IT team in Chandigarh.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network administration, Windows systems, server management, network security, troubleshooting, and infrastructure support. The role involves maintaining network and server infrastructure, ensuring system availability, resolving technical issues, and protecting business-critical IT resources.

The position may require 24/7 support and on-call availability to address critical network and system incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Network & Systems Administration

Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot hardware, software, servers, and network infrastructure.

Monitor system and network performance to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.

Administer and maintain Windows-based operating systems and servers.

Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity problems.

Maintain secure, stable, and reliable IT infrastructure while minimizing service disruptions.

Network Management

Configure and manage LAN, WAN, VLANs, IP addressing, subnetting, and network protocols.

Apply knowledge of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking to diagnose and resolve network issues.

Configure and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and other network devices.

Monitor network performance, availability, and connectivity.

Identify and implement improvements to network reliability, performance, and efficiency.

Network Services & Server Management

Configure and manage DNS and DHCP services.

Support and maintain web servers, including Apache and Microsoft IIS.

Maintain internet and intranet hosting environments and ensure service availability.

Monitor hosted applications and troubleshoot infrastructure-related issues.

Maintain server configurations, system services, and operational documentation.

Security & Connectivity

Configure and maintain firewalls,



VPNs, antivirus software, anti-spam solutions, and other security controls.

Monitor infrastructure for potential security threats and implement appropriate corrective measures.

Apply security best practices to protect systems, networks, and business data.

Manage secure remote access and VPN connectivity.

Support the implementation and maintenance of IT security policies.

Database & Backup Management

Support the administration and maintenance of MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server databases.

Monitor database availability and troubleshoot performance and connectivity issues.

Implement and maintain reliable data backup solutions.

Maintain and test backup and disaster recovery procedures.

Support business continuity and recovery activities during infrastructure incidents.

VoIP & Communication Systems

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot VoIP systems and associated network infrastructure.

Monitor voice communication services and resolve connectivity and performance issues.

Coordinate with internal teams and service providers to resolve communication-related incidents.

Technical Support & Documentation

Provide technical support for network, server, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.

Provide on-call or 24/7 support for critical infrastructure incidents when required.

Communicate incident updates, technical changes, and resolution progress to relevant stakeholders.

Maintain network diagrams, configuration records, troubleshooting guides, and technical documentation.

Follow established IT procedures, security policies, and operational standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator, Systems Administrator, Network & Systems Administrator, or in a similar infrastructure role.

Strong experience with Windows operating systems and server administration.

Good understanding of:

TCP/IP and the OSI model

VLANs and network protocols

IP addressing and subnetting

LAN/WAN networking

Practical experience configuring routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.





Experience managing DNS, DHCP, VPNs, Apache, and IIS.

Knowledge of MySQL and SQL Server administration and support.

Understanding of network security, firewalls, antivirus, and anti-spam systems.

Familiarity with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.

Experience with VoIP systems is preferred.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Good communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical users.

Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Willingness to provide on-call or 24/7 support when required.

Preferred Skills

Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or MCSA.

Experience with cloud infrastructure and cloud-based hosting environments.

Familiarity with cloud networking and infrastructure configuration.

Experience supporting Apache and IIS web hosting environments.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

Familiarity with network monitoring and infrastructure management tools.

Experience with virtualization technologies and server environments.
