Role Description The Support Counselor role at Edzym is a part-time, remote position focused on guiding and supporting learners throughout their educational journey. On a day-to-day basis, the Support Counselor responds to learner inquiries, provides information about programs, and assists with enrollment and onboarding processes. They help learners set goals, monitor progress, and address challenges related to motivation, study habits, and program navigation.

The Support

Counselor collaborates with educators to relay learner feedback and suggest improvements, while maintaining accurate records of interactions and learner outcomes. This role also involves providing empathetic support, transparent communication,



and follow-up to ensure a positive and effective learning experience for each learner.

Qualifications

- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain information clearly and empathetically to diverse learners.
- Experience in academic advising, counseling, tutoring, or learner support, preferably in online or remote education environments.
- Comfort using digital tools and online learning platforms, including video conferencing, messaging applications, and learning management systems.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple learner cases, maintain accurate records, and follow up in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to different cultural, linguistic, and educational backgrounds, with a commitment to inclusive and non-discriminatory practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing learner concerns and barriers to learning.
- Preferred: Background in education, psychology, social work, or a related field; prior experience supporting English language learners is an advantage.
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment to support learners during scheduled hours.
