Store Manager – Jockey

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to manage the overall operations of a Jockey retail store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, leading the store team, maintaining customer service standards, managing inventory, and ensuring smooth and efficient store operations.

The candidate should have strong leadership, sales, customer-handling, and operational management skills, with experience in apparel, fashion, lifestyle, or organised retail.

Key Responsibilities

Store Operations

Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the store.

Ensure smooth functioning of the sales floor, billing counter, stockroom, and other store areas.

Ensure adherence to company SOPs, operational guidelines, and brand standards.

Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, grooming, and visual merchandising.

Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.

Coordinate with management and support teams for operational requirements.

Sales & Business Performance

Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly store sales targets.

Drive revenue through effective sales planning, customer engagement, upselling, and cross-selling.

Monitor store KPIs including sales, conversion, average transaction value, productivity, and customer retention.

Analyse sales performance and implement corrective actions where required.

Ensure effective execution of promotions, offers, and brand campaigns.





Prepare and share regular sales and performance reports.

Team Management

Lead, motivate, and manage the store sales team.

Allocate daily responsibilities and ensure adequate floor coverage.

Monitor individual and team performance against targets.

Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.

Provide coaching and on-the-job training to improve product knowledge and selling skills.

Manage staff attendance, shifts, leaves, and daily schedules.

Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.

Customer Experience

Ensure a high standard of customer service and shopping experience.

Handle customer queries, feedback, complaints, and escalations professionally.

Build strong relationships with customers and encourage repeat purchases.

Ensure staff provide accurate product information regarding sizes, fits, features, and collections.

Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Inventory & Stock Management

Monitor stock availability and ensure timely replenishment.

Conduct regular stock checks and support stock audits.

Ensure proper receiving, tagging, storage, and movement of merchandise.

Minimise stock loss, damage, and operational wastage.

Coordinate with warehouse and inventory teams as required.

Administration & Compliance

Ensure accurate billing,



cash handling, and POS operations.

Maintain daily sales, attendance, inventory, and operational records.

Ensure compliance with company policies and retail processes.

Monitor store expenses and operational requirements.

Coordinate with the relevant teams for maintenance, repairs, and other store-related issues.

Candidate Profile

3–6 years of experience in retail store management or organised retail.

Experience in apparel, fashion, lifestyle, innerwear, or premium retail will be preferred.

Graduate / 12th pass with relevant retail experience.

Strong leadership and team-management skills.

Proven ability to achieve sales and revenue targets.

Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.

Strong understanding of retail operations, inventory, POS, and visual merchandising.

Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Confident, well-groomed, and professionally presentable.

Comfortable working in retail shifts, including weekends and holidays.
