Role Description The Social Media Content Creator is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Delhi Area. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms to communicate OWRI’s research, events, and thought leadership. Day-to-day tasks include drafting posts and threads, designing basic visual assets, adapting long-form research into accessible social content, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule.

Creator will monitor platform analytics, track audience engagement, and refine content strategies in coordination with researchers and communications staff. The role also involves staying up to date with trends in global affairs and social media best practices, live-covering events where appropriate, and supporting broader outreach campaigns.

Qualifications





- Ability to develop and execute social media content strategies, including planning campaigns, setting goals, and aligning content with organizational priorities.
- Strong skills in writing and editing concise, clear, and engaging copy suitable for different platforms and audiences.
- Experience in creating visual content (e.g., basic graphic design, use of templates, simple video clips) using common content creation tools.
- Comfort with using analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and optimize content and posting schedules.
- Knowledge of global affairs, international relations, or related fields, with the ability to translate complex ideas into accessible social media narratives.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple platforms and tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with researchers, editors, and the communications team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, International Relations, Political Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Prior experience in social media management or digital communications for a think tank, non-profit, media organization, or academic institution is an advantage.
- Familiarity with content scheduling tools and basic understanding of SEO and digital outreach best practices is beneficial.
