Job Summary
We are seeking a highly strategic, innovation-driven Senior Vice President to lead Emeritus' Marketing Centre of Excellence. This is a senior leadership role, partnering directly with the Co-founder and senior leadership to architect an integrated growth strategy powered by data, customer-centred thinking, and innovation via Martech, automation and AI. The mandate is to drive measurable improvement in customer acquisition, engagement, retention, and revenue outcomes across a multimillion-dollar, multi-geography business portfolio — working through, not around, the teams that own those channels.
This role does not own any individual marketing channel. Instead, it operates as a lean, high-impact strategic partner and enabler to channel leaders across paid, CRM, content,
creative and organic — scaling a unified marketing engine through focused experimentation, automation, and AI/tech enablement, where all marketing verticals act as one connected system, each reinforcing CAC efficiency, learner centricity, and revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Growth, Experimentation & Technology
- Develop and iterate growth loops, experimentation frameworks, and scalable models focused on CAC efficiency and sustainable growth across channels.
- Enable tech/automation/AI-powered efficiencies across all marketing channels.
- Run rapid experiments and leverage analytics to influence channel prioritization, funnel performance, and roadmap decisions.
Marketing Centre of Excellence & Strategy
- Build the Marketing CoE as a centre of standards, best practices, tools, and talent that scales consistently across business units.
- Own the innovation charter for marketing driving experiments to deeply integrate automation, Martech and AI into workstreams.
- Act as thought partner to the Co-founder and senior leadership on growth strategy, and emerging opportunity areas.
- Act as the internal consultant to marketing teams across channels and business units – bring an outside-in perspective and work with teams to implement best practices.
- Assess, drive experiments and propose automation and/or AI reinforcements to core teams to drive efficiencies at scale across all channels and business units.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Team Building
- Partner closely with Product, University Partnerships, Revenue, and Sales teams to unlock learner, lifecycle, efficiency and revenue expansion opportunities.
- Build and mentor a lean and multi-disciplinary team to collaborate with channel owners and stakeholders across business units; run experiments and innovation at scale to turn insights into rapid, measurable actions.
- Partner with cross-functional and core teams to ensure that growth, revenue, CAC, productivity and efficiency goals are met.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 18+ years of progressive marketing experience, including significant exposure across multiple disciplines — paid, CRM/lifecycle, content, organic/SEO/AEO and creative — with a track record of driving outcomes through influence and cross-functional partnership rather than direct channel ownership alone.
- Proven experience in designing and running structured experimentation programs (growth loops, A/B/multivariate testing, rapid-cycle learning) in a B2C or high-growth ecosystem.
- Demonstrated success embedding automation, Martech, and AI/AI-driven tools into marketing workstreams, with tangible efficiency or performance gains.
- Strong working knowledge of marketing automation, CRM platforms, web analytics, and attribution models — enough to credibly diagnose and advise across channels.
- Experience operating as an advisor or centre-of-excellence leader — influencing channel teams, business units, or founders without formal line authority over their budgets or headcount.
- Track record of building and leading small but high-calibre teams that drive inordinate impact through insight generation and rapid execution.
- Strong first-principles problem solver with a bias for action and experimentation; thrives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Analytical leader who can derive insights from data and translate them into recommendations that land across diverse, non-reporting stakeholders.
- Ready to get hands-on and roll up the sleeves to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills; comfortable challenging channel owners and business unit leaders constructively.
- Significant prior experience working closely with founders, C-level stakeholders, or executive teams is required.
