We at Coforge are seeking a “System Administrator-L3 " with solid expertise in Linux and Unix infrastructure management. The candidate will be responsible for administering, maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimising enterprise IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer and manage Linux/Unix server environments in production and non-production setups.
- Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain Linux operating systems such as Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, or other Unix variants.
- Monitor system performance, capacity utilization, and availability to ensure optimal operation.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system, application,



and infrastructure issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, authentication services, and security policies.
- Implement and maintain system hardening, security compliance, and vulnerability remediation.
- Configure and manage services including DNS, NTP, SSH, FTP/SFTP, Web Servers, Proxy Servers, and Mail Services.
- Administer virtualization platforms such as VMware, KVM, or Hyper-V.
- Execute backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity procedures.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using Shell Scripting, Bash, Python, or Ansible.
- Work closely with application, network, storage, and security teams for infrastructure support.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, system configurations, and knowledge repositories.
- Provide L3 technical support and serve as an escalation point for critical incidents.
