The Role

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer with 5 to 7 years of experience who can own quality across our AI, software, and technology engagements. This is a hybrid role based in Kochi, combining structured test planning with hands-on automation work.

You will work closely with developers, product managers, and delivery leads to embed quality at every stage of the software lifecycle, not just at the end. You bring both the discipline of manual testing and the engineering fluency to build and maintain robust automation frameworks. In a team delivering AI-integrated and enterprise-grade software, your work ensures that what we ship to clients is reliable, accurate, and production-ready.

What You Will Do

- Design, write, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for web, mobile, and API-based software products
- Build and maintain automation frameworks and test suites using industry-standard tools
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and exploratory testing across product releases




- Test AI-integrated features and pipelines, including LLM outputs, automation workflows, and data-driven components
- Collaborate with developers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and shift quality left in the delivery process
- Identify, document, and track defects clearly, working with the development team to ensure timely resolution
- Define and maintain test environments, test data, and coverage metrics
- Contribute to test strategy discussions and help establish quality standards across projects
- Review requirements and user stories to identify testability gaps and raise concerns early
- Support UAT with clients and document acceptance criteria outcomes
- Mentor junior QA team members where relevant and contribute to process improvement initiatives

What We Are Looking For

Essential

- 5 to 7 years of experience in software testing, with a strong combination of manual and automation skills
- Solid hands-on experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language used for test automation, such as Python, JavaScript, or Java
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile or Scrum delivery methodologies




- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build workflows (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar)
- Ability to write transparent, structured test plans, test cases, and defect reports
- Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or equivalent
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying edge cases and failure modes
- Good written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate clearly with development and client teams
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Advantageous

- Experience testing AI-powered features, LLM integrations, or intelligent automation workflows
- Familiarity with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter or k6
- Exposure to blockchain, Web3, or fintech product testing
- Experience working with distributed teams across time zones
- ISTQB certification or equivalent quality assurance qualification
