Senior Security Engineer – Network Security Operations (L2)

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 6:30 PM

We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Engineer (L2) to support enterprise network security infrastructure in a multi-vendor, hybrid managed services environment.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in firewall operations, VPN support, network security incident handling, security policy troubleshooting, and operational monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide Level 2 support for enterprise network security infrastructure.
- Monitor, investigate, and troubleshoot firewalls, VPNs, secure web access, proxy, AAA, and IDS/IPS solutions.
- Manage and support Next-Generation Firewall (NGFW) platforms.
- Implement and validate firewall policies, NAT rules, VPN configurations, and access control changes.
- Troubleshoot security policy, connectivity, authentication, and access-related issues.
- Perform routine health checks, security monitoring, and performance analysis.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and resolve recurring operational issues.
- Maintain documentation of incidents, configuration changes, SOPs, and troubleshooting activities.
- Coordinate with L1/L3 teams, network teams, vendors,



and clients for issue resolution.
- Follow security standards, change management procedures, and operational SLAs.

Required Skills and Experience
- 3–6 years of experience in Security Operations, Firewall Operations, or Managed Security Services.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following platforms:
- Palo Alto
- FortiGate
- Cisco FTD
- Versa SSE / Cisco SSE
- Strong understanding of firewall policy management, NAT, VPN, IDS/IPS, AAA, MFA, and secure remote access technologies.
- Knowledge of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, ports, and protocols.
- Experience with security incident handling, log analysis, traffic analysis, and packet-level troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools, monitoring tools, and ITIL-based processes.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Education and Certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or any graduate qualification.
- Preferred certifications:
- Fortinet NSE / FCP
- PCNSA / PCNSE
- CCNA / CCNP Security
- Cisco Security or other relevant firewall/security certifications
