Role Overview
Lead the deployment, integration, and day-to-day operation of autonomous mobile robots (AMRs/AGVs), industrial robots, and cobots. This role bridges robotics software, industrial automation, networking, and operations to ensure safe, reliable, and scalable fleet performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage multi-vendor AMR/AGV fleets, including task allocation, traffic management, charging, monitoring, and performance optimization.
2. Implement and support VDA5050 communication and Open-RMF for multi-fleet interoperability and task orchestration.
3. Develop and maintain ROS/ROS 2 applications, fleet adapters, and robot integrations.
4. Design and troubleshoot communication systems using DDS, MQTT, Zenoh, and related middleware.
5. Build and integrate REST, gRPC, and WebSocket APIs with WMS, MES, ERP, and dashboard platforms.
6. Configure industrial networks, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VLANs, QoS, and robot connectivity infrastructure.
7. Integrate robots/cobots with material flow and production systems.
8. Develop peripheral-level PLC logic for I/O, interlocks, conveyors, docking stations, doors, and safety interfaces.
9. Track fleet KPIs, perform root-cause analysis, and drive operational improvements.
10. Support commissioning, validation, site acceptance testing, documentation, and operator training.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
2.
4+ years of experience in robotics fleet management, industrial automation, or autonomous systems.
3. Hands-on experience with VDA5050, Open-RMF, ROS/ROS 2, MQTT/DDS, and API integration.
4. Strong understanding of industrial networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, Wi-Fi, industrial Ethernet).
5. Experience integrating KUKA and/or Mitsubishi robots and working with PLCs (Siemens, Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, or equivalent).
6. Proficiency with Linux, Docker, Git, and production troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills
1. PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP.
2. KUKA KRL or Mitsubishi MELFA programming.
3. Knowledge of ISO 3691-4, ISO 10218, and cooperative robot safety standards.
4. Experience with SLAM, fleet navigation, elevator integration, Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK.
