Key Responsibilities

- Undertake mechanical and piping design and detailed engineering activities.
- Prepare, develop and review 2D drawings and 3D models for mechanical and piping systems.
- Work on detailed engineering for SPM systems and offshore Oil & Gas projects.
- Contribute to small multi-discipline engineering design projects.
- Perform and support piping stress analysis, including preparation and review of stress calculations and reports.
- Develop piping layouts, isometrics, equipment arrangements, supports, and associated engineering drawings.
- Support mechanical design and engineering of green hydrogen systems, including hydrogen production, storage, compression, and delivery systems.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and provide technical input during design development.
- Review designs against project specifications, applicable codes, and engineering standards.
- Liaise with senior engineers and, where required, clients and suppliers.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, drawings, revisions, and engineering records.

CAD & Engineering Software Candidates should have experience with relevant 2D drafting and 3D modelling software.

Preferred software experience

- AutoCAD
- SolidWorks
- Autodesk Inventor
- CAESAR II – piping stress analysis
- ANSYS – mechanical / structural analysis

Preference will be given to candidates with practical experience using 3D modelling and 2D drafting software, particularly SolidWorks, Inventor and AutoCAD.

Requirements

- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- 4–5 years of relevant engineering experience.
- Practical experience in mechanical and/or piping engineering.
- Experience with piping design and preferably piping stress analysis.




- Working knowledge of CAESAR II and/or ANSYS.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs;, piping layouts, isometrics, equipment drawings and engineering specifications.
- Good understanding of mechanical systems, piping components, supports and engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of relevant engineering standards such as ASME, API, ISO and/or DNV would be advantageous.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a small multi-disciplinary engineering team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

International Projects & Travel

Rhizome Energy's clients are based in several locations around the world. The role may therefore involve international travel for project execution, client meetings, site visits, inspections, commissioning, or other engineering activities.

Chance

This role provides the opportunity to develop experience across mechanical and piping design, 2D/3D CAD, piping stress analysis, offshore Oil & Gas engineering, SPM systems, multi-discipline projects, and green hydrogen technologies.

The successful candidate will work with a UK-based engineering company and gain exposure to international clients and projects.

What We Offer

- Salary: ₹7,20,000 to ₹7,80,000 per annum
