About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Electrical (Projects) to oversee electrical project planning, technical coordination, and execution monitoring for large-scale, utility-scale solar power plants from our Head Office in Hyderabad.

The role involves coordinating with project managers and site teams, reviewing technical requirements, monitoring project progress, resolving electrical and execution-related challenges, and ensuring projects are delivered within approved timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The ideal candidate should have strong electrical engineering knowledge, hands-on experience in utility-scale solar projects, and the ability to manage multiple projects through effective coordination, technical guidance, and performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Monitoring

- Oversee electrical project activities across multiple utility-scale solar projects from the Head Office.
- Monitor project schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and overall execution progress.
- Review regular progress reports from site teams, identify delays and risks, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Ensure project activities are aligned with approved plans, specifications, and delivery timelines.

2. Electrical Engineering and Technical Coordination

- Review electrical drawings, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), technical specifications, and project engineering documents.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams on electrical design, equipment selection, installation, and execution-related issues.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, consultants, and vendors to resolve technical queries and ensure compliance with project requirements.

3. Solar Project Execution Oversight

- Monitor electrical works for utility-scale, ground-mounted solar power plants, including DC/AC cabling, HT/LT systems, transformers, switchgear, substations, and grid evacuation infrastructure.




- Coordinate with site teams to address technical challenges and ensure electrical works are progressing as planned.
- Review the status of installation, testing, commissioning, and project handover activities.
- Support project teams in resolving critical issues affecting execution and commissioning.

4. Coordination with Site Teams and Internal Departments

- Act as a key coordination point between the Head Office and project sites for electrical project activities.
- Work closely with project managers, site engineers, procurement, contracts, and commercial teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Follow up on material requirements, technical approvals, vendor deliverables, and other project dependencies.
- Guide site teams on technical matters, execution priorities, and resolution of project-related issues.

5. Procurement and Vendor Management

- Coordinate with procurement teams for timely sourcing and delivery of electrical equipment and materials.
- Review technical specifications and support the evaluation of electrical equipment, vendors, and contractors.
- Monitor material availability and delivery schedules to avoid delays in project execution.
- Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and contractors to resolve technical and supply-related issues.

6. Project Cost, Quality and Safety

- Monitor project budgets, electrical package costs, contractor progress, and variations in scope.
- Review project performance and highlight cost overruns, delays, and other execution risks.
- Ensure electrical works comply with approved specifications, applicable standards, and company quality and safety requirements.
- Coordinate with site teams to address quality observations, inspection findings, and electrical safety concerns.

7. Testing, Commissioning and Grid Connectivity

- Monitor testing and commissioning progress for electrical equipment and systems across project sites.
- Coordinate with site teams, OEMs, consultants,



and utilities for inspections, energization, and grid synchronization.
- Review commissioning reports, test records, and pending technical issues to support timely project completion.
- Ensure proper documentation and coordination for project handover.

8. Reporting and Stakeholder Management

- Review and consolidate project updates covering progress, material status, technical issues, costs, risks, and commissioning milestones.
- Conduct regular review meetings with project teams and follow up on pending action items.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders on project-related technical matters.

Required Qualifications and Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering is mandatory.
- 13+ years of overall experience in electrical projects, with substantial experience in the solar power sector.
- Solid experience in utility-scale, ground-mounted solar power projects is mandatory.
- Experience overseeing electrical project execution, technical coordination, and project monitoring.
- Good understanding of HT/LT systems, transformers, substations, electrical protection systems, and grid evacuation infrastructure.
- Experience in electrical testing, commissioning, and grid synchronization of solar power plants.
- Experience handling projects of 50 MW or above is preferred.
- Prior experience managing multiple projects or coordinating with teams across different project sites is preferred.
- Strong project planning, problem-solving, communication, reporting, and team management skills.

What We’re Looking For A technically strong Electrical professional with substantial experience in utility-scale solar projects, capable of overseeing project activities from the Head Office, providing technical direction to site teams, coordinating with multiple departments, and ensuring timely project delivery.

The candidate should be comfortable reviewing technical and project progress, identifying risks, resolving execution challenges, and taking ownership of project performance across multiple sites.

Work Location: Head Office, Hyderabad, Telangana. Travel to project sites may be required as needed.
