Role Description

- The Senior Editor – Science is a full-time, on-site role based in Noida.

The Senior

Editor leads the science editorial team and is responsible for the development and quality of science books and digital content, from concept to publication.

- Lead, mentor and manage a team of science subject editors (Physics, Chemistry, Biology and General Science). This includes assigning titles, setting priorities, reviewing their work and keeping editorial quality consistent across the team.
- Coordinate with authors and subject experts to deliver books and digital content, such as e-books, digital teaching resources and online assessments, on schedule from manuscript planning through final release.
- Evaluate and manage manuscripts, making sure content is accurate, clear and aligned with the relevant school and college curricula.
- Perform detailed structural and copy editing, guide revisions, and work with the design, production, digital and marketing teams to deliver engaging,



pedagogy-driven science content.
- Daily tasks include reviewing proofs, checking references and data, tracking project timelines for the team, and maintaining editorial standards and style consistency across print and digital titles.
- Stay current with educational trends in science, incorporate feedback from teachers and learners, and contribute to new title planning and long-term publishing strategy, including digital products.

Qualifications

- Strong science background with demonstrated expertise in relevant disciplines and the ability to evaluate scientific accuracy and pedagogy.
- Experience handling manuscripts and publications, including end-to-end editorial management from acquisition to final print or digital release.
- Proven experience leading and managing a team of editors, including allocating work, reviewing output and developing junior team members.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with a focus on clear, student-friendly language and the ability to improve structure, flow and engagement.
- Proficiency in research, including curriculum analysis, fact-checking, and reviewing academic and educational sources to inform content development.
- Familiarity with developing digital educational content, such as e-books, digital teaching resources and online assessments.
- Previous experience in educational publishing or academic content development, preferably at senior or lead editorial level.
- Master's degree or higher in a science discipline, Science Education or a closely related field. Advanced degrees or teaching experience are an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, time management and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple titles, team members and deadlines.
- Comfort working on-site in a team-oriented environment with authors, teachers, designers and cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with the science curricula of CBSE, ICSE and other major educational boards.
