Our IT-SAP team plays a key role in enabling the digital backbone of ENGEL’s global business operations.

To strengthen our SAP team, ENGEL India is looking for an experienced and motivated SAP Inhouse Consultant – DMS / Archiving. In this role, you will take ownership of SAP document management, archiving, and output management topics across our SAP landscape, including our ongoing transformation to SAP S/4HANA – RISE with SAP.

Key ResponsibilitiesAs an SAP Inhouse Consultant – DMS / Archiving, you will be responsible for the implementation, support, and continuous improvement of SAP document and archiving solutions.

Your responsibilities will include

- Implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP ArchiveLink
- Administering and further developing OpenText Archive Server / Prime Protect and OpenText Archiving for SAP Solutions
- Providing consulting and solution design for SAP Document Management System – DMS / CV module, including:Document types
- Document info records
- Classification
- Workflows
- Version management
- Designing and implementing SAP Output Management solutions, including:Output determination
- Form development using Adobe Document Services and Smart Forms
- Print, email, PDF, and other delivery channels
- Actively contributing to ENGEL’s SAP S/4HANA migration – RISE with SAP,



including:Analysis of archiving gaps
- Content and document migration activities
- Adaptation of DMS and archiving processes to S/4HANA standards
- Gathering and analysing business requirements and translating them into SAP DMS and archiving solutions
- Collaborating closely with global process owners, business stakeholders, SAP consultants, and international IT teams
- Providing 2nd and 3rd level support for incidents, service requests, and change requests related to DMS, archiving, and output management
- Preparing and maintaining solution documentation, process documentation, and operational procedures
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the global SAP landscape

Required ProfileWe are looking for a hands-on SAP professional with strong expertise in document management and archiving. The ideal candidate should have:
- Several years of hands-on experience with SAP ArchiveLink and document archiving in SAP
- Solid knowledge of OpenText Archiving for SAP Solutions or comparable archiving middleware
- Experience with SAP DMS / CV module, including:Document info records
- Document types
- Classification
- Version handling
- Good understanding of SAP Output Management, including output determination, forms, and delivery configuration
- Knowledge of archiving concepts such as:SAP data archiving using SARA




- Document archiving
- Retention management
- Audit-proof storage
- Experience with, or solid interest in, SAP S/4HANA and RISE with SAP migration projects
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of topics in an international SAP environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributed global teams
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken
- German language skills would be an added advantage
- Basic ABAP reading/debugging skills for analysis and troubleshooting would be beneficial

Preferred Skills
- Experience in global SAP rollouts or SAP template environments
- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA output management concepts
- Experience working with business process owners and cross-functional SAP teams
- Understanding of compliance, audit, and document retention requirements
- Experience in manufacturing or engineering industry environments would be an advantage
