APM Group Companies is looking for an experienced Safety Officer with 4–5 years of experience in civil construction projects. The candidate will be responsible for implementing safety procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, conducting site inspections, and maintaining a protected working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor HSE policies and safety procedures at construction sites.
- Conduct daily safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety induction programs, and safety training.
- Monitor proper usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Ensure safety during excavation, scaffolding, lifting operations, and working at heights.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Maintain safety reports, inspection records,
and documentation.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Monitor fire safety equipment and emergency preparedness.
Required Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in civil construction safety.
- Strong knowledge of HSE standards and construction site safety.
- Experience in Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
- Knowledge of Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
- Experience in safety audits and incident investigations.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of MS Office and safety documentation.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Diploma in Industrial Safety / Fire & Safety.
- NEBOSH / IOSH certification is an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of site safety compliance.
- Bangalore-based candidates preferred.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
