Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and patient-focused Resident Orthodontist to join our dental clinic in Bengaluru. The candidate should have strong clinical knowledge of orthodontics, good diagnostic and treatment-planning skills, and the ability to manage patients undergoing orthodontic treatment, including braces and clear aligners.
Key Responsibilities
- Examine patients and diagnose dental and skeletal malocclusions.
- Develop individualized orthodontic treatment plans based on clinical examination, radiographs, photographs, and dental models or digital scans.
- Perform orthodontic treatments using fixed braces, clear aligners, and other appropriate appliances.
- Monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments to orthodontic appliances.
- Manage follow-up appointments and maintain accurate treatment records.
- Explain treatment options, duration, costs, oral hygiene, and expected outcomes to patients.
- Coordinate with general dentists and other specialists when interdisciplinary treatment is required.
- Ensure proper sterilization, infection control, and clinical safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure continuity of orthodontic care.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- MDS in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from a recognized institution.
- Valid dental registration applicable for practice in Karnataka.
- Strong knowledge of orthodontic diagnosis, biomechanics, and treatment planning.
- Clinical competence in fixed orthodontics and familiarity with clear aligner treatment.
- Positive patient communication and counseling skills.
- Professional attitude, attention to detail, and teamwork.
- Willingness to learn and stay updated with current orthodontic techniques.
Preferred Experience Prior experience in orthodontic practice and exposure to clear aligner systems are desirable. Fresh postgraduate candidates may apply.
