Role Description The R&D; Chemist role is a full-time, on-site position located in Ahmedabad. The role involves planning and conducting laboratory experiments to develop and improve Unsaturated Polyester Resins, gelcoats, topcoats, epoxy systems, adhesives, and related auxiliary products. Daily responsibilities include preparing formulations, testing physical and chemical properties, analyzing results, and documenting findings in accordance with internal protocols and industry standards.

The R&D; Chemist collaborates with production and quality control teams to scale up successful formulations, troubleshoot product issues, and ensure compliance with performance and safety requirements.



The position also includes supporting customer-specific application trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and contributing to continuous process and product optimization.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills to interpret test data, optimize formulations, and solve production or performance issues.

- Hands-on research and development (R&D;) experience in polymers, resins, coatings, or related chemical products.

- Proficient laboratory skills, including secure handling of chemicals, preparation of samples, and use of analytical instruments.

- Knowledge of coatings and resin systems, including Unsaturated Polyester Resins, gelcoats, topcoats, adhesives, and epoxy hardeners.

- Experience with quality control practices, including testing, documentation, and adherence to internal and external standards.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly.

- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and commitment to laboratory safety and regulatory compliance.
