The Business Development Consultant is responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, and converting new business opportunities. The role focuses on proactive lead generation, understanding client needs, delivering product presentations, and supporting the sales process through to order closure.
Lead Generation & Pipeline Development
Conduct market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and new business opportunities.
Generate new business leads through cold calling, email campaigns, LinkedIn outreach, and other digital channels.
Build and maintain a strong professional network through industry events, associations, and referral partnerships.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date pipeline in the CRM system.
Client Engagement & Requirement Understanding
Engage with prospective clients to understand their business needs, challenges, and buying criteria.
Qualify leads based on fit, budget, timeline, and decision-making authority.
Schedule and coordinate product demonstrations / presentations for qualified prospects.
Sales Coordination & Closure Support




Coordinate sales meetings between prospective clients and internal sales/technical teams.
Prepare relevant sales collateral, proposals, and follow-up documentation.
Drive post-meeting follow-ups to advance prospects toward order closure.
Track opportunity status and provide regular updates to management on pipeline health and conversion rates.

Required Skills & Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal & written)
Excellent cold-calling and objection-handling ability
Positive understanding of the sales cycle and consultative selling approach
Ability to conduct basic market research and competitor analysis
Proficiency in email marketing tools, CRM systems, and MS Office / Google Workspace
Self-motivated, target-oriented, and resilient under rejection
Good networking and relationship-building skills

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
