Qualification: ITI Fitter / ITI Mechanical / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

Job Purpose The Fitter / Maintenance Technician is responsible for carrying out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities to ensure smooth operation of plant machinery and equipment. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery and equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
Maintenance of pumps, motors, gearboxes, conveyors, compressors, blowers, and rotating equipment.
Carry out dismantling, assembly, fitting, alignment, and installation activities.
Monitor equipment performance and report abnormalities.
Replace worn-out parts such as bearings, belts, couplings, seals, and chains.
Support shutdown and planned maintenance activities.
Ensure adherence to safety practices and maintenance procedures.
Maintain maintenance logs, checklists,



and equipment history records.
Coordinate with production and engineering teams to minimize production losses.
Follow 5S, TPM, and continuous improvement initiatives.
