Role Description This is a full time, on-site Quantity Surveying Engineer role based in Chennai.

The Quantity Surveying

Engineer will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for residential and thematic projects, ensuring alignment with design specifications and contractual requirements. Daily tasks include coordinating with design and civil engineering teams, reviewing drawings and CAD models, conducting site measurements, and verifying quantities for materials and labor. The role also involves monitoring project costs, supporting tender preparation and evaluation,



assisting in contract administration, and reporting cost variances and financial risks to project managers.

The engineer will participate in regular site inspections, ensure compliance with quality and safety standards, and support supervisory activities to maintain project timelines and budgets.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Civil Engineering and Land Surveying skills to manage quantities, measurements, and site-related evaluations.
- Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills to interpret and work with technical drawings and project plans.
- Candidates should possess Inspection and Supervisory Skills to oversee site activities, verify work quality, and ensure adherence to specifications.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying, or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Experience in residential or thematic property development, preferably in apartment or mixed-use projects.
- Strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Familiarity with local building codes, standards, and construction practices in Chennai or similar metropolitan environments.
