We’re Hiring: QMS Manager – Head of Plant Quality | [Company Name] | [Location]

At Bhavya Industries, quality is non-negotiable. We’re looking for a QMS Manager to be the single point of ownership for quality across our entire manufacturing unit. You will lead the quality function, head the quality team, and be accountable for the quality of everything the factory produces, from incoming material to final dispatch.

This is a leadership role for someone who doesn’t just know the standards, but has built systems, enforced them, and made entire teams practice them every single day.

About the Role

As the QMS leader for the whole unit, you will:

- Own the Quality Management System for the entire plant
- Lead and develop the full quality team (QA, QC, inspection, and supplier quality)
- Be responsible for product and process quality across all production lines
- Act as the plant’s quality authority with customers, certification bodies, and senior management

Key Responsibilities Plant-Wide Quality Leadership

- Head the quality department and be fully accountable for the plant’s quality performance
- Set quality objectives, standards, and KPIs for the unit (PPM, customer complaints, COPQ, rejection rates, audit scores) and drive them to target
- Hold every department (production, maintenance, stores, engineering, purchase) accountable to quality requirements
- Report quality performance directly to plant leadership and management

Quality Management System

- Lead, maintain, and continually strengthen the QMS in line with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements
- Ensure all procedures, work instructions, and records are followed on the shop floor, not just on paper
- Plan and lead internal audits, and represent the plant in certification, surveillance, and customer audits

Production Quality

- Ensure zero-defect discipline across incoming, in-process, and final inspection
- Drive APQP for new product launches, including PPAP submissions and customer approvals




- Own and enforce core tools across the plant: FMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa) for customer complaints and internal failures, and ensure issues don’t repeat

Team Building and Quality Culture

- Lead, mentor, and grow a strong quality team
- Train people across all levels, from operators to managers, so quality practices become daily habit
- Build a culture of discipline, ownership, and accountability throughout the factory

Supplier Quality

- Manage supplier quality performance, audits, and development

What We’re Looking For

- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, or related)
- 10+ years in quality, with at least 5 years heading the quality function or QMS for a full manufacturing plant (automotive preferred)
- Proven experience working directly with automotive OEM and Tier-1 customers, including handling customer audits, PPAP approvals, complaints, and customer-specific requirements
- Proven experience leading a quality team
- Strong hands-on expertise in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, and SPC
- A track record of implementing systems and making teams follow them consistently, with measurable results
- Certified Internal/Lead Auditor (IATF 16949 / ISO 9001) preferred
- Firm and uncompromising on standards, yet a true team player who works closely with production, engineering, and management to get results
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills
