About V Chains For over 35 years, V Chains has been a trusted name in jewellery wholesale in Zaveri Bazaar, Mumbai, specialising in gold chains, kadas, bracelets and jewellery sets. Built on craftsmanship, trust and long-standing trade relationships, we are now growing our Quality Control (QC) team. We are looking for a capable QC Executive to join our existing team and help us uphold the quality our customers trust.

Role Overview The QC team makes sure every piece leaving V Chains meets our standards for purity, weight, finish and design. You will work closely with management, production, accounts and the existing QC team to inspect jewellery, catch defects early and keep quality consistent. Along with inspection, you will also help pack parcels for dispatch and speak with clients when needed.

Key Responsibilities

- Quality Inspection

Inspect chains, kadas, bracelets and sets at different stages, from incoming work to final dispatch.

Check purity and hallmarking compliance.

Verify weight and ensure it stays within the agreed tolerance.

Check finish and polish standards.

Identify defects, and separate and report rejected or rework pieces.

- QC Process & Standards

Follow QC checklists, SOPs and quality standards, and suggest improvements

Maintain accurate records of inspections, rejections, rework and approvals





Coordinate with production and karigars on corrections and rework.

- Packing & Dispatch

Pack parcels neatly and securely for client orders

Check that the right design, quantity and weight go into each parcel before dispatch.

- Client Communication

Pass client feedback and quality complaints to management and the production team

- Performance & Reporting

Prepare regular QC reports for management

Highlight recurring defects and suggest improvements

- Security & Confidentiality

Follow security, confidentiality and code-of-conduct policies suited to a high-value jewellery setting

Handle inventory and records with care and integrity

Required Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

1-3 years of experience in quality control, ideally in jewellery, manufacturing, wholesale.

Good knowledge of the different types of chains and how to identify their quality and defects.

Hands-on knowledge of purity testing, hallmarking, weight checks and finish inspection for gold jewellery.

Skills & Competencies.

Strong communication in Hindi, English and Gujarati/Marathi (preferred)

Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.

Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
