Role

Lead production of sheet metal parts and welded assemblies for CNH tractors, ensuring timely delivery, consistent quality, productivity, and cost control. The role requires hands-on expertise in weldshop operations and sound knowledge of press shop production and weld shop.

Key Responsibilities
Manage daily production across stamping, bending, welding, and assembly against customer schedules.
Lead manual MIG/MAG and robotic welding operations, including welding parameters, fixtures, sequencing, and cycle-time improvement.
Control weld spatter, distortion, weld defects, and dimensional variation to meet drawing and customer requirements.
Manage press shop operations, including tool setup, die changeovers, stamping defects, and coordination with the tool room.
Plan manpower, machine capacity, shift output, and material availability with PPC.
Improve output, OEE, consumable usage, rejection, rework, and production costs.
Coordinate with Quality and Development for recent parts, production trials,



PPAP readiness, and corrective actions.
Maintain shopfloor safety, 5S, preventive maintenance coordination, and operator skill development.

Candidate Requirements
B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or a related discipline.
Solid experience in automotive, tractor, or heavy fabrication components; Tier-1 supplier experience preferred.
Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T;, welding symbols, and close-tolerance requirements.
Practical knowledge of welding fixtures, press tools, MIG/SPOT welding, and production problem-solving.
Proven ability to lead supervisors, operators, and welders, with valuable written and verbal communication.
Experience with CNH or similar tractor OEM requirements will be an advantage.

We need a hands-on shopfloor leader who can independently take ownership of production, quality, and delivery.
