Role Description The Purchase Engineer (2–3 years of experience) is a full-time, in office role based in the Pune Division. This position is responsible for managing end-to-end purchasing activities for civil, PEB, and MEPF-related materials, equipment, and services. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, preparing and processing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, and ensuring timely availability of materials at optimal cost and quality.

The role involves coordinating with project, engineering, and site teams to understand requirements, supporting purchase planning and budgeting, and maintaining accurate documentation and records.

Engineer also analyzes purchase data, supports vendor negotiations, and contributes to continuous improvement of purchasing processes in alignment with company standards and project timelines.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of purchasing processes, including vendor evaluation and procurement workflows.
- Experience in purchase management and purchase planning within construction, infrastructure, or related engineering sectors.
- Ability to prepare, review, and manage purchase orders and related documentation with attention to detail.
- Solid analytical skills for comparing quotations, optimizing costs, and monitoring purchase performance.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical) or a related field.
- Familiarity with materials, equipment, and services used in civil construction, PEB structures, and MEPF work.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant ERP or procurement software.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- 2–3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably in turnkey or infrastructure projects.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on-site in the Pune Division, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
