1. Position Overview

MIT School of Allied Healthcare Sciences invites applications from distinguished, energetic, and vision-driven academic and clinical professionals for the position of Professor & Head of Department (HoD). The HoD will provide strategic leadership, academic governance, research mentorship, and administrative oversight to the department. The candidate will be responsible for fostering clinical excellence, academic compliance, and industry-academia collaborations while upholding UGC and institutional norms.

2. Key Responsibilities & Duties

- Academic Leadership: Oversee department curriculum, course delivery, accreditation compliance (UGC/NAAC), and academic planning.
- Teaching & Mentorship: Deliver lectures/clinical sessions and guide UG/PG students and Ph.D. scholars in research and clinical work.
- Research & Innovation: Drive departmental research, secure grants, publish in indexed journals, and conduct academic events.
- Department Administration: Manage department operations, faculty workloads, lab infrastructure, and clinical tie-ups with hospitals.

3. Minimum Eligibility & Educational Qualification Requirements (Specialization / Discipline wise)

Candidates must meet the UGC norms for Professor/HoD cadre along with specialization-specific criteria outlined below:

a) Specialization / Discipline: Nuclear Medicine & Radiological Physics

Educational Qualifications / Experience Required

- M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine / M.Sc. Nuclear Medicine Technology / M.Sc. Medical Physics / M.Sc. + PG Diploma in Nuclear Medicine or Radiological Physics WITH Ph.D. in relevant subjects
- Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching / clinical / research experience in a recognized institute/hospital.





OR
- MD / DNB in Nuclear Medicine
- Minimum 10 years of clinical / teaching / research experience after postgraduate degree.

b) Specialization / Discipline: Anaesthesia & Operation Theatre Technology (AOTT)

Educational Qualifications / Experience Required

- Master’s in Anaesthesia and Operation Theatre Technology WITH Ph.D. in AOTT / Relevant discipline
- Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. teaching/clinical experience (or 15 years of total post-master's experience in teaching and industry).

OR
- MD / DNB in Anaesthesia
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a medical college or allied health institute.

c) Specialization / Discipline: Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology (MRIT)

Educational Qualifications / Experience Required

- Master’s in Medical Radiology & Imaging Technology / Master’s in Medical Imaging Technology (With or Without Ph.D.)
- Minimum 12 to 15 years of teaching and clinical experience (or 10 years post-Ph.D. experience).

OR
- MD / DNB in Radiology
- Minimum 10 years of teaching experience in a recognized institute.

d) Specialization / Discipline: Cardiovascular Technology (CVT)

Educational Qualifications / Experience Required

- Master’s of Cardiovascular Technology / M.Sc. Cardiovascular Technology / Master’s of Cardiac Care Technology / M.Sc. Cardiac Perfusion Technology / M.Sc. Paramedical Technology (Cardiac Care) WITH Ph.D. in relevant subject
- Minimum 10 years of post-Ph.D. clinical or teaching experience in a recognized institution.

4. Desired Skills & Competencies

- Extensive experience in managing allied health labs, advanced diagnostic equipment, and hospital partnerships.
- Proven leadership in obtaining accreditations (NAAC, NIRF, NBA) and syllabus design.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team management abilities.
- Active participation in professional bodies, editorial boards, and healthcare industry networks.
