Job Title: Professional Services Automation Developer

Position Summary The Professional Services Automation Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting customer-specific automation solutions, integrations, reports, and data processing workflows within the ACE platform. This role works closely with customers, implementation consultants, and internal stakeholders to deliver scalable and reliable automation solutions that support customer business processes.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on Python and SQL developer with strong problem-solving skills and experience building automation workflows, file-based integrations, API-driven solutions, and reporting capabilities. This position requires a customer-focused mindset and the ability to translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Solutions & Implementation

- Partner directly with customers and implementation teams to understand business requirements and technical integration needs.
- Design and develop customer-specific automation solutions, reports, exports, and data processing workflows.
- Participate in implementation projects and support customer onboarding activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integrations, automation jobs, and customer-specific configurations.
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Automation Development
- Develop custom automation jobs using Python to support customer workflows and business requirements.
- Package and deploy automation solutions using Docker containers.
- Build serverless execution workflows using AWS Lambda.
- Publish and manage Docker images through AWS ECR.
- Develop reusable automation frameworks and utilities to improve implementation efficiency.
- Maintain secure, scalable, and well-documented automation solutions.

Data Integration & Processing
- Develop SQL queries, stored procedures, and data extraction logic for reports, exports, and business processes.
- Design and implement data transformation and validation processes.




- Build file processing solutions for CSV and flat-file integrations.
- Create export workflows including header/trailer generation, formatting, sanitization, and data transformation requirements.
- Support inbound and outbound file exchange processes using SFTP.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with customer requirements.

API Integration
- Develop integrations utilizing ACE APIs to:
- Extract data from ACE
- Push processed outputs into external systems
- Update records within ACE
- Write execution logs and status information back into ACE
- Support API troubleshooting, testing, and performance optimization.

Monitoring & Support
- Monitor automation jobs and integrations using AWS CloudWatch.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
- Support and maintain existing customer automation solutions.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to ACE jobs, ETLs, logic blocks, reports, exports, and customer portal configurations.
- Participate in issue resolution during implementation and post-go-live support activities.

Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Document technical designs, workflows, deployment procedures, and support processes.
- Create reusable templates, standards, and implementation best practices.
- Identify opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Contribute to ongoing platform enhancements and customer success initiatives.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience developing automation, integration, or reporting solutions.
- Strong proficiency in Python development.
- Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, data extraction, reporting, and data transformation.
- Experience developing and deploying Docker-based applications.
- Experience working with AWS Lambda and related AWS services.




- Experience with AWS ECR or container image repositories.
- Experience processing CSV, flat-file, and structured data formats.
- Experience developing API integrations using RESTful services.
- Experience supporting SFTP-based data exchange workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Ability to manage multiple customer-facing projects and deliverables simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with AWS CloudWatch monitoring and logging.
- Experience with Bash or shell scripting.
- Experience with JavaScript for workflow customizations and customer-facing solutions.
- Experience supporting ETL processes and data migration activities.
- Familiarity with customer portal configurations and workflow automation.
- Experience working in software implementation, professional services, or customer success environments.
- Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, GitHub Copilot, or similar technologies.

What This Role Is Not This role is focused on customer automation, integrations, reporting, and implementation support. It is not a heavy backend software engineering, enterprise ETL engineering, or deep DevOps/platform engineering position. Success in this role comes from practical problem-solving, customer engagement, automation development, and data integration expertise.
