Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer – Database Developer with strong expertise in Perl, Python, Linux Shell Scripting, and MySQL/MariaDB . The candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting database-related scripts across different product versions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Perl, Python, and Linux Shell scripts for database-related applications.
Develop and maintain MySQL/MariaDB database scripts, queries, and processes .
Troubleshoot and resolve MariaDB script failures and database-related defects .
Design and modify Perl/Python/Shell scripts based on product and database requirements.
Perform testing of scripts across different product versions and environments .
Analyze defects, identify root causes, and implement appropriate fixes.




Collaborate with development and testing teams to resolve technical issues.
Maintain technical documentation related to scripts, database changes, and troubleshooting.

Required Technical Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in:
Perl
Python
Linux/Unix Shell Scripting
MySQL / MariaDB
Strong experience in database development and scripting .
Experience troubleshooting MariaDB/MySQL script failures .
Positive understanding of SQL, database queries, stored procedures, and database troubleshooting .
Experience in script development, modification, debugging, and testing .
Solid Linux/Unix environment experience.

Valuable to Have
Experience with AI Agents / Codex .
Exposure to Jira and Confluence .
Experience with Helix Swarm, Perforce, and Git .
Exposure to Cisco CDET bug/ticketing system .
Experience working in Agile development environments .
