We are looking for a Technical Architect / SCM Transformation Lead with a robust blend of Project Management (60%) and Technical Expertise (40%). The role will drive enterprise-wide DevOps and SCM transformation initiatives, lead platform modernization programs, manage stakeholder engagement, and oversee delivery governance across distributed teams.

The ideal candidate should possess hands-on expertise in GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, Backstage, Infrastructure Architecture, and DevOps platforms, coupled with proven experience in managing large-scale transformation and migration programs.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Delivery Leadership (60%)
Lead end-to-end SCM and DevOps transformation programs.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, stakeholders, vendors, and engineering groups.
Define project roadmaps, timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance frameworks.
Drive program tracking, status reporting, executive communication, and stakeholder management.




Manage migration and modernization initiatives, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timelines.
Establish governance, compliance, and best-practice adoption across engineering teams.
Facilitate decision-making, issue resolution, and escalation management.
Technical Architecture & Platform Engineering (40%)
Define SCM architecture and platform strategy.
Design and implement GitHub Enterprise, GitLab, and Backstage solutions.
Establish:
Branching strategies
Code review frameworks
Repository governance
Access control models
Integrate SCM platforms with:
Jenkins
GitHub Actions
GitLab CI/CD
JFrog / Nexus
Lead migrations from SVN, TFS, Bitbucket, or legacy SCM platforms to Git-based ecosystems.
Define platform standards for developer productivity and DevOps enablement.
