Designed by Box Garden Ventures, California, manufactured in Italy, and optimized for Indian cooking, Ember brings together design, performance, durability, and conscious living to create cookware for modern kitchens.

We are looking for a Procurement Category Manager to help us build a strong, scalable, and high-performing supply ecosystem as we grow.

What will you do?

As a Procurement Category Manager, you will own the end-to-end sourcing and category management strategy for assigned product categories.

Category Management

- Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business, cost, quality, and growth objectives.
- Identify opportunities for cost optimisation, and supply-base improvement.
- Drive high fulfillment and availability across channels.
- Monitor category performance, market trends, pricing, and supplier dynamics.

Supplier Management

- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Track supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and responsiveness.
- Work with suppliers to resolve recurring issues and improve overall performance.

Procurement & Supply Planning

- Manage the procurement cycle from requirement planning through purchase order placement and delivery.
- Coordinate closely with Planning, Operations, Warehouse, and Manufacturing teams to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Monitor inventory, lead times, and supply risks to proactively address potential shortages.

Cost & Commercial Management

- Analyze spend and identify opportunities to improve margins and working capital.
- Drive cost reduction through negotiations, alternate suppliers, process improvements,



and volume leverage.
- Maintain strong commercial discipline across suppliers and categories.

Quality & Compliance

- Partner with Quality and Product teams to evaluate supplier capabilities and ensure adherence to required specifications and standards.
- Support supplier audits, qualification, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

- 2–4 years of experience in Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Category Management, or Supply Chain.
- Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, cookware, kitchenware, appliances, or similar categories is a plus.
- Strong understanding of supplier management, sourcing, negotiation, and category strategy.
- Proven ability to negotiate pricing and commercial terms with suppliers.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent command of Excel / Google Sheets.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Finance, Product, Planning, and Warehouse teams.
- Strong communication, ownership, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Master's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field is a plus.
