Job Summary

Tirupati Balajee is seeking an experienced PLC Automation Engineer to support manufacturing automation, PLC programming, machine commissioning, troubleshooting, and process improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with industrial automation systems in a manufacturing environment, along with a strong understanding of PLC programming, electrical control systems, and automated machinery. The candidate will play a key role in improving machine reliability, reducing downtime, and enhancing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs using Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram (FBD), or Structured Text.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) systems.
- Diagnose machine breakdowns, electrical faults, control system issues, and production stoppages.
- Perform machine commissioning, input/output (I/O) checks, functional testing, and system validation.
- Integrate sensors, actuators, drives, and industrial communication networks.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel drawings.
- Maintain PLC program backups, automation documentation, and technical records.
- Coordinate with production, maintenance, electrical, and engineering teams to resolve automation-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability, productivity, and automation performance.
- Support preventive maintenance activities and implement corrective actions to minimize equipment downtime.

Required Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience in PLC programming and industrial automation systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming languages, including Ladder Logic, FBD, or Structured Text.




- Experience with HMI/SCADA systems, VFDs, sensors, actuators, and electrical control panels.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols and automation system integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and control system faults.
- Familiarity with Siemens TIA Portal, S7 PLCs, WinCC, Allen-Bradley, or Mitsubishi PLCs is preferred.
- Understanding of machine commissioning, preventive maintenance, and industrial safety practices.

Education and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related engineering discipline.
- 2–5 years of relevant professional experience in PLC programming, industrial automation, or machine control systems, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Practical experience in machine commissioning, automation troubleshooting, and production equipment maintenance.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
