Role Description The Pizza Chef at Delish Mama is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.

The Pizza

Chef is responsible for preparing pizza dough, sauces, and toppings, assembling pizzas to specification, and cooking them using appropriate equipment while maintaining taste and consistency. Day-to-day tasks include organizing the kitchen workstation, ensuring all ingredients are properly stored, managing cooking times, and coordinating with the service team to deliver orders promptly. The role also involves maintaining strict hygiene standards, following food safety procedures, and assisting with general food preparation and occasional menu development.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess solid skills in Food Preparation and Cooking, with the ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent quality.
- Candidates should have prior work experience in an Italian Restaurant or making Italian cuisine
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of Hygiene and Food & Beverage standards, including safe food handling and cleanliness practices.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Sauces and pizza-specific ingredients, with the ability to prepare and adjust flavors as needed.
- Relevant experience in a pizzeria, restaurant, or commercial kitchen is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work standing for extended periods, handle a fast-paced environment, and manage multiple orders at once.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills, with a focus on reliability and punctuality.
- Basic education and formal culinary training or certification are a plus but not strictly required if experience is strong.
