Role Description This is a full time, on-site role for Pathology Medical Coders based in Coimbatore. The role involves reviewing pathology reports and related clinical documentation, assigning accurate medical codes in accordance with applicable guidelines and payer requirements, and ensuring complete and compliant coding of diagnoses and procedures.

Pathology Medical

Coders will validate medical terminology, apply appropriate coding rules,



and collaborate with clinical and billing teams to resolve discrepancies. The position also includes maintaining productivity and quality standards, staying current with coding regulations and updates, and supporting audit and compliance activities as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong medical coding skills, including pathology-specific Medical Coding and Coding Experience.
- Foundational knowledge in Health Information Management and familiarity with RHIT or equivalent credentials.
- Solid understanding of Medical Terminology relevant to pathology and laboratory services.
- Diploma or degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Accuracy and attention to detail, with the ability to meet productivity and quality targets.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Coimbatore and adapt to standardized processes and compliance requirements.
