Position: Senior Non-Motor/ SME Underwriter

Location: Jaipur

Package: 10 to 12 LPA

Experience: 10+ years in Non-Motor Underwriting

Based: Rajasthan only

Key Responsibilities:

1. Risk Assessment & Underwriting:

- Evaluate and underwrite non-motor risks (property, liability, marine, etc.) based on company guidelines and market trends.
- Conduct thorough analysis of risks, coverage requirements, and pricing to determine appropriate terms and conditions.
- Ensure compliance with internal underwriting policies and external regulations.

2. Team Leadership & Mentorship:

- Lead and mentor a team of junior underwriters, providing guidance and support in underwriting decisions and technical matters.
- Assist in training new staff members on underwriting processes and best practices.

3. Client Interaction:

- Support the sales and business development teams in understanding underwriting requirements and responding to complex client queries.
- Review and optimize pricing strategies, taking into account market conditions, competition, and emerging risks.
- Claims Support & Coordination:




- Collaborate with the claims team to ensure the underwriting process aligns with claims handling practices.
- Review claims trends and provide input on risk management strategies to minimize future claims.

5. Market Research & Product Development:

- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging risks to ensure that underwriting practices remain competitive.
- Provide input for the development and refinement of insurance products.

Key Requirements:

· Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in non-motor underwriting, with a focus on property, liability, or marine lines of business.

· Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Insurance, Finance, or a related field. Relevant skilled certifications (e.g., Associate/ Fellowship of the Insurance Institute of India) are a plus.

· Skills & Competencies:

o Strong analytical and risk assessment skills.

o Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

o Leadership and team management experience.

o In-depth knowledge of the insurance industry, market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.

o In-depth knowledge of Insurance Products o Proficiency in underwriting software and MS Office.

o Capabilities to communicate with Insurance Companies to get a bespoke products/ contingent policies.
