Role Description The News Article Writer intern will research and write clear, accurate, and engaging news articles on topics such as AI, cryptocurrency, fintech, banking, and financial markets in the UAE and wider Middle East. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring news wires and official announcements, sourcing and verifying information, conducting basic interviews or email Q&A;, and transforming complex topics into accessible articles for a business-focused audience. The intern will collaborate with editors to refine story angles, update existing articles, optimize headlines,



and ensure adherence to editorial guidelines and deadlines.

The role also involves basic fact-checking, proofreading, and supporting content planning for upcoming coverage. This is a remote internship role.

Qualifications

- Strong news writing and journalistic storytelling skills, with the ability to explain complex financial and technology topics clearly and concisely.
- Research and fact-checking skills, including the ability to verify sources, interpret data, and review official documents and announcements.
- Editing and proofreading skills to ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar, and consistent editorial style.
- Interest in or foundational knowledge of AI, cryptocurrency, fintech, banking, and financial markets, particularly in the UAE and Middle East.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and meet strict publishing deadlines.
- Strong written communication skills in English; Arabic reading ability is a plus but not required.
- Current student or recent graduate in journalism, communications, economics, business, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with digital media platforms, basic SEO principles, and social media as news distribution channels is beneficial.
