Key Responsibilities

- Own and maintain market intelligence on the Indian power and renewable energy sector, analysing demand trends, equipment pricing, PPA and merchant tariffs, and the growing shift towards firm and dispatchable power solutions.
- Track regulatory developments across key markets, including open access policies, tariff orders, ISTS charges, RPO obligations, energy storage and FDRE frameworks, translating changes into strategic and project-level business implications.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking and strategic analysis to assess market positioning, project pipelines, bidding strategies, financing structures and emerging opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Monitor technological advancements across renewable generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure and digital systems, identifying potential applications and evaluating their business impact and implementation requirements.
- Support bid strategy, PPA structuring, market-entry decisions, annual strategy reviews and the evaluation of new business opportunities, adjacencies and strategic partnerships.
- Develop peer benchmarking reports covering renewable IPPs, including capacity, project pipelines, generation performance, tariffs, EBITDA margins, leverage,



cost of debt and valuation multiples; track sector fundraising, IPOs, QIPs, InvITs and private equity transactions.
- Prepare strategic intelligence reports, quarterly Board papers, investor presentations, capital markets analysis and due diligence materials, ensuring accurate, well-researched insights for senior leadership and Investor Relations.
- Develop thought leadership content and external communication materials for founders, including keynote presentations, industry articles, panel talking points, media briefs and investor narratives, while maintaining a consistent positioning strategy and industry events calendar.

Requirements

- MBA, CA, CFA, or an equivalent postgraduate qualification preferred; candidates with a bachelor's degree and strong analytical experience will also be considered.
- 4-7 years of relevant professional experience in strategy consulting, equity research, corporate strategy, investment banking, private equity, or similar analytical roles.
- Solid analytical, research, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
- Prior exposure to the energy, renewable energy, infrastructure, or project finance sectors is strongly preferred.
- Ability to conduct market research, financial analysis, competitor benchmarking, and industry assessments to support strategic decision-making.
