Role Description This is a full time, on-site role based in Mumbai for a Manager – Custom Clearance (Operations and Customer Service), requiring a minimum of 10 years of CHA (Custom House Agent) experience. The manager will oversee day-to-day customs clearance operations for import and export shipments, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and timely cargo movement.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customs authorities, shipping lines, transporters, and internal teams to manage documentation, duty calculations, and query resolution. The role involves supervising the operational team, monitoring performance, optimizing processes, and maintaining accurate records and MIS reports. The manager will also handle customer communication,



resolve service issues, provide shipment status updates, and work to improve overall customer satisfaction and service quality.

Qualifications

- Strong operations management and customs clearance experience, including at least 10 years of CHA-related responsibilities.
- Analytical skills to interpret customs regulations, assess documentation, and troubleshoot operational and compliance issues.
- Customer service and customer satisfaction focus, with proven ability to manage client expectations and handle escalations.
- Clear and professional communication skills for interacting with customers, customs officials, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Indian customs procedures, import/export documentation, tariff classifications, and duty/Tax calculations.
- Experience leading and mentoring operational teams, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfort with using logistics and customs-related software, MS Office tools, and preparing operational and MIS reports.
- Graduate degree in logistics, supply chain, commerce, or a related field; professional certifications in customs or logistics are an advantage.
